This week, your task is to complete the Photo Challenge on your own! You will need to take the camera out, find the "mystery" location. Your task to try to take the same long distance shot without using the "zoom". Therefore, you will need to think carefully about where you are standing and what you can see within the viewer.
Take your distant shot.
Look carefully at the scene and choose one object within the scene.
Try taking a close-up shot of that item.
What did you need to do to take the close up shot? (We will discuss this in "Buzz Groups" later in the week.
Photo Challenge on PhotoPeach
On Day One, Mrs Buist sent us out on a Photo Scavenger Hunt. She got the idea from a very talented Mrs Fothergill who teaches at Raumati School up north. (http://www.wikieducator.org/User:Dragonsinger57/Photo_scavenger)
The aim of the hunt was to find each of the objects that Mrs B had photographed with our group and to take the “exact” same photo. This proved trickier than we thought it was going to be! This was Mrs B’s collection of photos and what they were supposed to look like.
Once we had all the photos, we had to come back to class and upload the photos onto the laptops and then paste them into Comic Life. This proved to be new learning for most of us but was fantastic training for our job as “Super Scoopers”! We thought the challenge was great fun but quite tricky! To do this on the first day really helped us get to know each other and develop some new group skills. It helped us to have one member of the team as the “Time Keeper” because this kept us focussed on getting the job done. Have a look at our photos and please let us know what you think and how we did.
